New provincial rules apply specifically to pool enclosures, including fencing, gates, and locking systems, as well as installations around the enclosure, such as pool equipment, platforms, decks, ladders, and diving boards. 🔐🪜

One key change is that homeowners with pools built before November 1st, 2010 are no longer exempt from certain safety regulations they may have previously been “grandfathered” into. ⏳

👉 All affected homeowners must bring their installations into compliance by September 30, 2025. That includes ensuring all fencing, gates, and surrounding structures meet the updated standards.
